Dr. John and Sandy Duncan came to First Baptist Church of Jasper on August 7, 2016. John and Sandy have three adult children (Kalah, Joshua, and Seth) and four grand children (Warren, Madelynne, Henry and Chloe). They have also adopted four girls (Noelle, Lily, Emily, and Annabelle). Along with these children, they also foster.

Dr. Duncan is a graduate of Campbellsville College with a BA in Christian Studies. He continued his education at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky receiving an MDiv in 1989 and a PhD in Expository Preaching in 2011. Dr. Duncan has served in various churches throughout the states of Michigan, Kentucky, and Indiana. He served as pastor of Jasper First Baptist Church from 1997-2004 when he left to pursue his PhD.

Dr. Duncan desires to lead the church to live transparent lives and be the light that shines in the darkness of an unsaved community. His goal is for Jasper First Baptist Church to become the Light that penetrates that darkness with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.



Stephen and his wife Ashley moved to Jasper in 2018 with their two girls, Eliza and Amelia. Stephen teaches a Sunday school class for adults, occasionally preaches, and has a heart for missionaries and the unreached around the world. 



Rod Haskins came to First Baptist in 2000. Rod serves as a deacon, trustee, works in VBS, and assists with Children's Ministry. 



Phil Malone and his wife Barbara have served at First Baptist Church for 45 years. Phil serves as a deacon, treasurer, and has served as Adult Bible Teacher.



John and his wife Nancie have been members at FBC for many years. John plays keyboard for our praise team, is a Sunday school teacher, and small group leader.



Todd and his wife Kendra moved to First Baptist Church in 1989. Todd is chairman of the Elders, leads the Praise Team, and teaches Sunday School.



Eric and his wife Kathy were led to First Baptist Church in 2013. Eric serves as a deacon, Sunday School Director, and assists with various aspects of Children's Ministry.



Phil and his wife Tina have been at First Baptist for over 12 years. Phil serves as a deacon and on the Praise Team. He also has assisted with Youth Ministry in the past.

Tim and his wife Sara have been at First Baptist Church since 1997. Tim serves as a deacon at First Baptist as well as chairman of the Ushers, benevolence, and Sunday School Teacher. Tim has also been a facilitator of small groups and has mentored many couples in financial planning.



Tom and his wife, Pam, have been at First Baptist Church for over 25 years. Tom serves as an Elder as well as serving on the Praise Team. Tom has also served as a Sunday School Teacher and leader in Men's Studies.
